These are the terms for clients on a Luma monthly plan. They are written in plain words on purpose. If anything here is unclear, ask us before you start and we will explain it.
These terms are between you, the business named on your onboarding form, and Luma Website Design, of 1309 Coffeen Ave Ste 1200, Sheridan, WY 82801. They start on the day your first payment is taken and stay in place while your plan is active.
There are two monthly plans. You pick one when you start and you can move between them at any time.
The full details of each plan are on the $97 plan page and the $297 package page. Google Ads budget and campaign management are not part of either plan.
Your plan is billed monthly in advance to the card or account you set up at signup. The first payment is taken when you approve the build and the monthly service starts. Every payment after that is taken on the same day each month.
The price stays what you signed up at for as long as you stay on that plan. If we ever change the price of a plan, we tell you at least 30 days before it applies to you.
If a payment fails we will let you know and try again. If it is still unpaid after 10 days we may pause the website and the connected systems until it clears. Nothing is deleted while a plan is paused for payment.
There is no long contract. You can cancel at any time, and all we ask for is 30 days written notice.
Send your notice to nick@lumawebsitedesign.com. Your plan runs for 30 days from the day we receive it, so one more monthly payment may fall inside that window. At the end of the notice period the plan ends and the service stops.
We can also end a plan with 30 days notice, and we will always tell you why.
Your monthly fee pays us to build, host, and run the website and the systems connected to it. It is not a one-off purchase of a website. While your plan is active the site lives on our platform and we look after all of it, so there is nothing for you to install, update, or maintain.
If your plan ends and you do not buy the website out, the site and the connected systems come down on your last day of service.
If you cancel and you want to keep the website, you can buy it. The price depends on how long you have been a paying client.
| When you cancel | Cost to keep the website |
|---|---|
| Inside your first 5 months | $1,000 |
| Month 6 onwards | $500 |
The buyout fee includes our team moving the site over for you. We package up the website, set it up on your own hosting, transfer the domain into your name, point it at the new site, and check that every page, form, and image works before we hand it over. You then own that copy of the site outright.
Hosting for your site after the handover is normally $10 to $20 a month paid to a hosting company directly, and we will point you at a good one.
To build and run the site well we need a few things from you, and delays here are the only thing that slows a build down.
Before we can send a single text message on your behalf, the mobile carriers have to verify your business. This is called A2P 10DLC registration and every provider in the country has to do it. You add these details yourself in the Luma Portal, and they go straight to the carriers.
These have to match your official registration exactly, because the carriers check them against public records. A mismatch is the usual reason a registration is rejected, and until it passes we cannot turn on missed-call text-back, lead follow-up texts, or review request texts. Getting this in on day one is the single fastest way to get your Growth plan live.
You confirm you have the right to use every photo, logo, review, and piece of content you send us, and that what you tell us about your business is accurate.
Where we register the domain name for your site, we hold it while your plan is active. It is part of the managed service, and you never get a renewal bill or a registrar login to keep track of. If you buy the website out under section 6, the domain moves to you as part of the migration at no extra cost. If you end your plan without buying the website out, that domain stays with us along with the site it points at.
If you already owned your domain before you came to us, it stays yours throughout and nothing about it changes.
Your Google Business Profile is yours and stays yours either way. We only ever hold manager access on it, granted from your own account, and you can remove that access at any time.
Unlimited updates cover changes to what is already on the site: wording, prices, hours, photos, staff, and project galleries. Email the change and it is usually live within two business days.
We will always quote any of the above before doing the work, and you will never get a surprise invoice.
We do the work described in your plan and we do it properly. No company can promise a specific Google ranking, a search position, or a number of leads, and we do not. Anything we say about typical results is an example, not a guarantee.
The Growth plan sends text messages to your customers on your behalf. None of it can switch on until the carrier registration in section 7 has passed. You are the sender of those messages, so you confirm you have the right to contact the people on any list you give us. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply to your customers. Every message includes a way to opt out, we honor STOP requests immediately, and we follow the rules of the carriers and platforms we connect to. We may pause messaging if a carrier or platform requires it.
Do not use the website or the systems we run for you to send unlawful, misleading, or unsolicited messages, to advertise services you are not licensed to provide, or to break the rules of any carrier or platform we connect to on your behalf. We may suspend the service if that happens.
We provide the services with reasonable care and skill. So far as the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim. We are not liable for lost profits or lost business.
If we update these terms we will email you at least 30 days before the change applies to your plan. The date at the top of this page always shows the current version.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming.
